Notes

SUNY Erie Remote Photo makes it easy to submit your Student ID photo from any device with a camera and internet connection. After uploading your photo, simply select the campus where you’d like to pick up your ID card. IDs are normally printed by each College Safety Office on weekday mornings. Once ready, just visit the College Safety Office you selected to pick up your card.

Photo Guidelines:

When taking your photo, please keep these requirements in mind:

  • Frame the photo from just above your head to the middle of your chest.
  • Use a plain, light-colored background.
  • Submit a high-quality, color photo.
  • Do not wear sunglasses, hats, or face coverings. (If you wear a face covering for religious reasons and prefer not to use Remote Photo, you may visit any College Safety Office. A photo will still be taken without your face covering, but it will be done privately and respectfully.)
  • Face the camera directly, with your eyes open and looking at the lens.
  • Do not submit driver’s licenses, passports, or other document photos.
  • Do not submit avatars, filters, memes, paintings, sketches, AI-generated images, or photos of anyone else. The photo must be a clear, real image of your face.
