Notes:
The Workday Mobile application can be used to access Workday via a Mobile Device such as Apple iPhone, Apple iPad and Android. Learn how to install, access and utilize Workday from your mobile device 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Once configured, Mobile users will have the following user preference options within the application. Some can be maintained by the user, while others will be managed by ECC:
- Turn On/Off Push Notifications from the Workday app
- The employee will not be able to save worker information from the mobile device
- 3rd Party applications will not be able to access files within the Workday app
- Reports will not have markup capability within the Workday app

Mobile Device System Requirements:
- Apple iPad and iPhone devices running iOS 12.0 or later
- Devices running Android 5.0 or later
- You can also use a supported mobile browser to access the Workday browser application using a URL link
Answer Apple iPhone & iPad:
- Launch the App Store on your device
- Search for Workday. Next to the Workday App click on GET
- After the App is downloaded you can choose OPEN or you can launch Workday from the icon that is now on your home screen.
Answer Android Device:
- Launch the Google Play Store on your device
- Search for Workday. Next to the Workday App click on Install.
- After the App is downloaded you can choose OPEN or you can launch Workday from the icon in your list of Apps.
Answer Adding SUNY Erie as a second organization:
- Launch the Workday App
- Click on the drop-down menu in the upper left-hand corner
- Click on Switch Organization
- Click on Add Organization
- Enter ecc as the Organization ID
- Click on the arrow in the bottom left to continue.
- The sign-in screen will now be displayed. Enter your SUNY Erie email address and select Next
- Enter your password and select Sign In.
Installation has completed:
- When you launch the Workday App for the first time, the screen will display Welcome to Your Workday. Touch the Login button at the bottom of the screen.
- Under Enter or scan your Organization ID, type: ecc
- Click on the arrow in the bottom left to continue.
- The sign-in screen will now be displayed. Enter your SUNY Erie email address and select Next
- Enter your password and select Sign In.
- Approve sign-in request will now be displayed. You will receive a call, text message, or notification from the Authenticator App to approve the sign-in. You can check the box next to Don’t ask again for 30 days to access the Workday app without having to frequently approve each sign-in.
- The Stay signed in? message appears. Select the box next to Don’t show this again to turn on this feature. If this box is not checked, Workday may time out your session and require you to log back in. Then select Yes.
- You can now set the device to use Touch ID. This will allow the use of your fingerprint to login to Workday, or choose Skip in the upper right.
- Next, you can create a six-digit PIN to use instead of a password or choose Skip in the upper right. If you use a PIN, the code needs to be changed every 30 days.
- (Apple Devices) To receive Workday Notifications on your device, choose OK. If you don't want notifications, choose Don't Allow.
- The welcome screen will not be displayed and you can use Workday on your device.
- To log out of Workday:
Apple Device: select the circle in the upper left
Android Device: select the three horizontal lines in the upper left.
Then choose Sign Out at the bottom of the screen.
